Michael Lynn Smith, age 57, of Ida Grace Road in Irvine, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital, following a long illness. He was born November 3, 1967, in Estill County and was the son of Gladys Winkler Smith and the late Billy Gene Smith. He was a former Metcalf Metal employee and had lived in Estill County all his life. Survivors in addition to his mother include:

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 20, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Harold Friend and Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
