Billy Gene Long, age 85, of McClanahan Court in Irvine, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at his home following a long illness. He was born February 17, 1940, in Estill County, and was the son of the late Herman Long and Emma Francis Abney Long. He retired from the Modern Pattern & Foundry Company, and he attended the South Irvine Holliness Church. He had lived in Estill County for the last 12 years. He is survived by:

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Stephanie R. Long, 2 sisters, Lois Wiseman and Janice Estes, 1 brother, Roger Long, and 1 grandchild, Jennifer Lewis.
The family has chosen cremation. The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
