Raymond O. Neikirk, age 86, of Main Street in Irvine passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at the Irvine Nursing ; Rehabilitation Center.He was born July 28, 1929 in Waco and was the son of the late Lewis and Elizabeth Green Neikirk.He was an electrical engineering graduate of the University of Dayton and did his post graduate Master's Degree work at Drexel University.He was a retired employee of the Defense Information System Agency and a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.He attended the First Christian Church and had lived in Estill County for the past 10 years.He is survived by: His wife:Lena Pearl McGee Neikirk 3 Sons:Karl Neikirk ; wife, Maridele Winchester, VA Jeff Neikirk ; wife, Dottie Blacksburg, VA Paul Neikirk Irvine 2 Brothers:William Neikirk ; wife, Ruth Anne VA Danny Neikirk ; wife, Brenda Irvine 5Sisters-in-law:Eva Miller ; husband, Clarence Irvine Loretta Neikirk Estill Co. Helen Neikirk Dayton Sue Neikirk Lexington Doris McGee 5 Grandchildren:Jess Neikirk ; wife, Christina, Sarah Werner ; husband, Eric, Rose Neikirk ; fianc, Matt, Hannah Neikirk and Violet Neikirk 1 Great-Grandchild:Lana Neikirk He was preceded in death by 1 son, Brenton Ray Neikirk, 2 sisters, Dorothy Warren and Mildred Tuttle and 7 brothers; Fred, Jim, Louis, Boyd, Donald, Marshall ; Ralph Neikirk. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 23, 1 PM at the First Christian Church by Bro. Greg Humpert and Bro. Adrian McKinney.Burial will be at the South Irvine Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 8 PM Thursday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home and after 12 PM Friday at the First Christian Church.
