Charles Hugh 'Spud' Abney, age 56, of James Street in Irvine passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014, at the Compassionate Care Center following along illness.He was born November 16, 1957 in Madison County and was the son of Geraldine Neal Campbell and the late Woodson Charles Abney.He was a Trane Company employee and a member of the Panola Baptist Church.He had lived in Estill County most of his life.Survivors in addition to his mother include: His wife:Martha Corey Abney 1 Daughter:Cindy Abney Mills Lincoln Co. 3 Step-Daughters:Amy Lee Elliott Clark Co. Jennifer Lynn Sharon Estill Co. Melissa Gail Winkler Estill Co. Special Daughter: Ashley Conrad Estill Co. 2 Sisters:Debbie Jordan Estill Co. Donna Sons Estill Co. 4 Brothers:David Edward Estes Madison Co. Russell Scott Brandenburg Madison Co. Jerry Abney Clark Co. Terry Abney Clark Co. 1 Step-Brother:William Reed Clark Co. 8 Grandchildren 2 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by 1 step-sister, Wilma Reed and 1 grandchild, Brianna Mercedes Mills. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 13, 2 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Marvin Neal.Burial will be at the Turpin Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Saturday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
