James Vernon Gross, age 79, of Broadway in Irvine, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was born December 22, 1943, in Estill County and was the son of the late Lemon and Nannie Scott Gross. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a retired Sylvania employee. He was a member of the White Oak Church of God and had lived in Estill County all his life. He is survived by:

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 29, 2 PM at the White Oak Church of God with Bro. Glyndon Woosley officiating. Burial will be at the Cane Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6 to 9 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home and after 1 PM Sunday at the Church.
