Wendell Kevin Watson, age 65, a resident of the Thomson-Hood Veteran’s Center passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Irvine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. He was born December 1, 1959, in Estill County and was the son of the late Thomas and Della Patrick Watson. He served in the United States Navy. He was a farm worker and a member of the Cobb Hill Church of Christ. He had lived in Estill County most of his life. He is survived by:

2 sisters: Elaine (Dillard) Horn - Irvine
Annette (Tim) Griggs - London
1 brother: Thomas B. (Lynn) Watson - Waynesburg
4 grandchildren: Nicholas Watson, Nathan Watson, Kody Watson, and Kameron Watson
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister, Frances Rogers, and 1 brother, Harvey K. Watson.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 22, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Coffey officiating. Burial will be at the Cobb Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
