Virginia Louise Edmonson Croucher born March 6,1944 passed peacefully on December 25, 2025, at the age of 81.
She was a long-time legal secretary at Shumate, Shumate and Flaherty. She was often sought for her jury selection capabilities.
She was a loving wife. She enjoyed gardening, long country rides and coffee on the front porch with her husband Mike.
She was a beloved mother and Mamaw. She was always supportive, nurturing dreams and navigating heartache with wisdom and wit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel Dee (McPherson) Edmonson and Virgil Harvey Edmonson, a brother James Harvey Edmonson (Teresa), a sister Doris Edmonson Farthing (Davinal), and a baby son David Brent Arthur. She is survived by her loving husband Raymond Michael Croucher, her daughter Deirdre (Dee) Lynn Arthur (Darrell), and her son Richard Todd (Dickie) Arthur. She carried a deep love for her grandchildren: Jennifer Dee Arthur, Alec Samuel and Evan Mckinley Arthur and Sydnie Mac Louise Arthur.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
