Virginia “Tootie” Lee Harrison, age 87, of Shelton Lane in Irvine, KY passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington following a short illness. She was born September 9, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Robert Clay and Carrie Gabbard Morris. She was a retired Postmaster and had lived in Estill County all of her life. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Herman Harrison.
She is survived by:
1 son: Michael Dale Harrison (Geri)
3 Sisters: Shirley Whittington
Pearl (Mike) Tyree
Chris (Larry) McMaine
1 brother: Beverly (Linda) Morris
3 grandchildren: William Harrison, Whitney (Jared) Pelfrey, Madison Lee (Kimball) Foley, & Gregory Bryant Harrison
6 great grandchildren: Andrew Harrison, Ashton Harrison, McKinley Pelfrey, Kenton Pelfrey, Korbyn Pelfrey, & Mallee Mae Foley. Virginia is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son Greg Harrison, daughter Jennifer Gail Harrison, sister Ona B. Rawlins, and brothers James “Jim” Morris and Bobby Morris.
To honor her life, a graveside memorial service will be conducted Sunday, August 17, 2 PM, at the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Bro. Jerry Gilbert officiating.
