Vernon McKinney, age 91, of Cedar Grove Road in Irvine passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014, at the Irvine Nursing ; Rehabilitation Center following a short illness.He was born November 11, 1922 in Lee County and was the son of the late Samuel and Josephine Spicer McKinney.He was a retired employee of Trane Co. and attended the Irvine Nazarene Church.He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and had lived in Estill Co. most of his life.He is survived by: His wife:Bessie Mayse McKinney 1 Daughter:Sheila McKinney Sturgill ; Ron House Richmond 1 Son:Charles Lee McKinney ; wife, Donna Louisville Son-in-law:Santi Bravo 4 Grandchildren:Jason McKinney, Alana Dudgeon, Sebrina Keeney and Tara House Weirich 9 Great Grandchildren: Jakob Dudgeon, Liam Archibald, William Keeney, Erika Keeney, Erin Keeney, Kolby Keeney, Kaden Archibald, Kaleb Archibald and Mason Lee McKinney He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Mary B. Bravo, 1 sister, Opal Horn and 3 brothers; Hubert, Buell and Dennie McKinney. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 4, 4 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will be at the McKinney Cemetery.Friends may call after 2 PM Tuesday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
