Thomas Wesley 'Tody' Abner, age 65, of Old Fox Road in Irvine passed away Monday, August 15, 2011, at the Marcum ; Wallace Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.He was born September 8, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the son of the late Lawrence and Rebecca Johns Abner.He was a farmer and attended the Ivory Hill Baptist Church.He had lived in Estill County most of his life.He is survived by: His Fiance:Edna Abner 2 Sons:Jay Abner Estill Co. Christopher Abner Estill Co. 1 Step-Daughter:Geneva Nunnelley Estill Co. 4 Sisters:Elizabeth Osborne Hamilton, OH Linda Powell Estill Co. Darlene Abner Estill Co. Diane McGuire Estill Co. The Means children (who were like his brothers and sisters) He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Larry Abner, Sr. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 19, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Marvin Neal.Burial will be at the Woods Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Thursday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
