Thelma Mae Flynn, age 88, of Irvine, Ky, departed this life on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 14, 1935, in Irvine, Ky, to the late Cleveland Rawlins and Sarah Campbell Rawlins. Thelma was a retired employee for Westinghouse and North American Phillips. She loved to cook and bake, as well as taking care of her two “fur babies”, Sweet Pea and Suzie Q. She was a devoted mother who took great pride in her home and raising her family. Thelma is survived by three sons: Charles Richard Flynn (Beverly), of Danville, Ky, William Owen Flynn, of Irvine, Ky, and Robert Earl Flynn, of Irvine, Ky. Additional survivors are her grandchildren, Anastasia Flynn Knight, Robert Levi Flynn, and William Eric Flynn. She is also survived by one great grandchild, Corbin Knight, along with many other relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at a later date.
