We are very saddened to announce the passing of Theda Marie Christopher, age 95, of Springboro, on Tuesday morning, June 4, 2024, at Enclave of Springboro. She was born August 8, 1928 in Irvine, KY, the daughter of Hal and Eudell (Winburn) Muncie.
Theda left her Kentucky home with Arnold early in their marriage to start life in Ohio. While her state of residence changed, her heart still beat for her beloved Kentucky and countless family members. One of 8 siblings, she was the only one to live out of state. Theda worked at JCPenney’s in the Dayton Mall for decades. She began as a clerk, but soon managed the drapery department. She was a valued employee and made life-long friends in that position.
Family has always been most important to Theda. She excelled as the gentle matriarch of a far-flung 5-generation clan. Walking into the home where she lived for 63 years, one always knew a good time was in the making. She reveled in the times when large family and friend groupings gathered. Anyone who knows our Theda well will tell you she has always been a gentle, loving soul with an unassuming, natural, easygoing demeanor. But they also can attest to her feisty side. When that part of her appears, you can’t help but laugh. To know her is to love her. And, oh, how she is loved!!
Surviors include her sons, Arnold Ray (Charla) Christopher and Robert (Susan) Christopher, Granddaughter, Kathleen (Russell) Wells, daughter-in-law, Patricia Christopher, Grandsons, Scott (Deven) Christopher, Matt (Holly) Christopher, Joshua (Chrystal) Christopher, Great Grandchildren, Karissa (Mike) Martin, Madilynn Gauldin, Morgan Wells, Memphis Christopher, Machaira Christopher, Sofia Christopher, Magdalena Christopher, and Mackenzie Christopher, Joel Christopher, Caleb Christopher, Cora Christopher, Jessa Christopher, Great Great Grandchildren, Everett Martin and Ambrose Martin, Sister, Helen (Steve) Mays, Brother Larry (Pauline) Muncie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hal and Eudell Muncie, her husband, Arnold C. Christopher, her son, Randy Christopher, her sisters, Edna Jo Berryman, Agnes Neal, her brothers, Ray Muncie, Richard Muncie, and James Muncie.
Services will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 415 N. Main St., Springboro, OH 45066:

Reception and refreshments following service
Burial services will be at West Irvine Cemetery, Irvine, KY on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.
