Terry Clay Sparks, age 73, of Drowning Creek Ridge in Irvine, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Terrace Nursing and Rehab Center following a short illness. He was born October 3, 1949, in Estill County and was the son of the late Thomas “T.J.” John Sparks and Nellie Hampton Sparks. He was a retired conductor for CSX and a member of the Beaver Pond Christian Church. He had lived in Estill County all his life. He is survived by:

6 grandchildren: Lauren Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Chris Rainwater, Nicholas Rainwater, Andre Bryant, and Jakob Dudgeon
6 great grandchildren: Zoey, Christian, Julian, Gavin, Amelia, and Isaiah Rainwater
A host of great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, August 14, from 5 to 8 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
