Obituary for Sylvia W. Flannery
Sylvia W. Flannery, age 77, of Burlington, KY, passed away Monday, March 7th, at her home following a long illness.She was born September 3, 1938, in Estill County, a daughter of the late James B. and Ella M. Finney Wiseman.She was a former receptionist at the City of Irvine Mayor's Office and she really enjoyed cooking.She lived in Estill County and Northern Kentucky all of her life and attended the Lighthouse Free Will Baptist Church.She was a loving mother who was known for her hugs.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lindburg Flannery.She is survived by: 3 Daughters: Teresa Tyree (David) Burlington, KY Peggy Placke (Andrew) Aurora, IN Kim Flannery (Steve) Crittenden, KY 3 Sons: Rick Flannery (Anne) Union, KY William Flannery (Susan) Hebron, KY Terry Flannery (Meg) Glencoe, KY 1 Sister: Margie Smith Germantown, KY 22 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by 1 Son; Michael Wayne Flannery, and7 Siblings; Mable Edge, Frankie Estes, Georgia Tipton, Minnie Poer, Gladys Shepherd, Elizabeth Wiseman, and Arnold Wiseman. Funeral services will be conducted Friday 11 AM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Robert Courtney with burial to follow in the Tuttle Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
