Obituary for Susie Mae Fortner
Susie Mae Hampton Fortner, age 94, of Poplar St. in Ravenna passed away Friday, November 21, 2014, at the Marcum ; Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.She was born May 12, 1920 in Powell County and was the daughter of the late Luther and Martha Gillum Hampton.She was a former employee of the Ravenna Drug Store and an avid gardner.She was a member of the Ravenna Christian Church and had lived in Estill Co. most of her life.She was preceded in death by her husband, George Fortner.She is survived by: 2 Daughters:Janet Eubank Lexington Joanna Arnold Lexington 1 Son:George Fortner ; wife, Joetta Estill Co. 1 Half-Sister:Jean Blackburn Dayton, OH 6 Grandchildren 5 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Elmer and Earl Hampton. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 24, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Tony White.Burial will be at the Oakdale Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Sunday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
