Susie Emmaline Tuggle, age 86, of Barnes Mountain Road in Irvine, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, following a long illness. She was born August 5, 1939, in Madison County, and was the daughter of the late John W. and Lela King Reece. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She had lived in Estill County most of her life. She is survived by:
3 daughters: Joanna Frederick - Irvine
Shirley (Ricky) Isaacs - Beattyville
Jeana Flynn - Irvine
2 sisters: Gladys Hoover - Madison Co.
Louise Reece - Madison Co.
1 brother: Paul Reece - Fayette Co.
6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Tuggle, 2 sisters, Thelma Hoover, Elizabeth Davis, 6 brothers, Loda, Tracy, Delbert, Leonard, Charlie, and Junior Reece, and 2 sons-in-law, Dan Frederick and Robert Flynn, and her stepmother, Bessie Reece.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 23, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Isaacs officiating. Burial will be at the Tuggle Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
