Steven Mitchell Baber, age 69, of White Oak Road in Irvine, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the Clark Regional Medical Center following a long illness. He was born May 21, 1954, in Madison County and was the son of the late Devoe “Bo” and Wilma Hunt Baber. He was a retired CSX Railroad employee and a member of the Williams Memorial Baptist Church. He was a member and past Master of the Stafford 562 Masonic Lodge and a member of the Irvine Lodge Chapter and Council. He had lived in Estill County all his life. He is survived by:

3 grandchildren: Aidan Christopher Baber, Jackson Mitchell Baber, and Lena Grace Baber
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Christopher Mitchell Baber, Joshua Hunt Baber, and his brother, Gary Baber.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 13, 11 AM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Winkler officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6 to 9 PM with Masonic Rites at 7:30 PM.
