Obituary for Stephen Daniel Sparks
Stephen Daniel Sparks, age 26, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. He was born September 4, 1989 in Madison County and was the son of Ricky Stephen Sparks and Debra Sue Baldwin Sparks. Stephen joined the military September 28, 2010 a few weeks after turning 21. He has been stationed in Japan at Yokota AFB and in Tucson, Arizona at Davis-Monthan AFB. Stephen was deployed to Qatar in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and to Kuwait in support of Operation Inherit Resolve. He was an Aerospace Ground Equipment technician and was responsible for working on and maintaining more than $14 million dollars worth of Air Force equipment. Stephen also provided timely support to multiple aircraft so they could execute their flying missions. He loved music and played with the band called 2 Good 3 Better. He attended the Corinth Christian Church and had lived in Estill County all of his life. Survivors in addition to his parents include: 1 Brother: Daniel Lee Sparks Estill Co. His Step-Mother: Brenda Sparks 2 Step-Sisters: Hope Branham, Christy Conkwright Aunts ; Uncles: Ken Baldwin, Tina Gasper, Eileen Welch, Terry Swanson and Charles Sparks He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lee ; Cindy Baldwin and Gerald ; Lola Sparks. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 7, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Fielder Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Friday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
