Shelby Ann Fowler Pitman, age 86, of Squires Way in Nicholasville, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at her home following a long illness. She was born December 2, 1937, in Estill County, and was the daughter of the late Elbert V. Fowler and Provie Marcum Fowler. She worked in Communications for the Bluegrass Army Depot, and she was a United States Air Force Veteran. She was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church in Nicholasville and she had lived in Nicholasville for the last 8 years. She is survived by:

2 grandchildren: Erin (Andrew) Adams Barnott and Alexandra Courtney Adams

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Armeda Fowler Thomas and Jaunita Fowler Collinsworth, and 3 brothers, Lewis Frank Fowler, J.B. Fowler, and Vinson Fowler
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 19, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Gray officiating. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
