
Samuel Gordon Watson, age 82, of Conrad Estates in Irvine, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond following a short illness. He was born June 6, 1942, in Estill County and was the son of the late Pearl Watson and Ruth Powell Watson. He was the owner of the Burger Barn in Irvine for 26 years, and he retired from Toyota Manufacturing. He attended the Irvine First Christian Church, and he was a member of the Estill County Golf Club. He had lived in Estill County all his life. He is survived by:

1 brother: Fred Watson (Ann) - Ohio
2 grandchildren: Alyssa Pearl Sparks (Zach) and Bryson Lonnie Sparks
1 great grandchild: Karter Brooks Richardson
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother, Paul Watson.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 18, 2 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Altman officiating. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6 to 9 PM.
