Obituary for Ruford Allen Newton
Ruford Allen Newton, age 68, of Maggie Lane in Irvine passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011, at his home following a short illness.He was born February 22, 1943 in Estill County and was the son of Christine Sparks Newton and the late Allen G. Newton, Jr..He was a retired CSX employee and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.He was an avid horseman and a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association.He was also a former member of the Kentucky National Guard.He is survived by: His wife:Delores Miller Newton His mother:Christine Sparks Newton Estill Co. 1 Son:Donald Keith Noble and wife, Lisa Estill Co. 2 Brothers:Michael 'Fig' Newton and wife, Rebecca Estill Co. Gary Dean Newton and wife, Lisa Estill Co. 1 Grandchild:Bethany Rachelle Noble His niece:Karen Dozier His nephews:Joshua, Justin and Christopher Newton His great-niece:Ashleigh Dozier He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Newton. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 14, 1 PM at the First Baptist Church in Irvine by Bro. Raymond Flynn, Bro. Keith Sands and Bro. Chris Winkler.Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Tuesday at the First Baptist Church.
