Obituary for Roy Durbin
Roy Durbin, age 98, of Pryse Road in Irvine passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014, at the Marcum ; Wallace Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.He was born December 28, 1915 in Lee County and was the son of the late Andrew and Callie Howell Durbin.He was retired from the United States Army after serving 33 years.He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Cliffie Van Skaik and Maud Ruth Phillips and 2 brothers; William and Clarence Durbin. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 29, 10 AM at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church by Father Al Fritsch and Father Joseph N. Koury, Jr.Burial will be at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.Friends may call Sunday between 6 and 9 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
