Obituary for Robert Paul Lamb
Robert Paul Lamb, age 85, of Barnes Mountain Road in Irvine departed this life Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at the Marcum ; Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.He was born August 26, 1930 in Madison County and was the son of the late James W. and Agnes Gross Lamb.He was a retired Bluegrass Army Depot employee and a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.He attended the New Bethel Baptist Church #2 and had lived in Estill County most of his life.He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Zetta M. Hoover Lamb.He is survived by: 3 Daughters:Donna Hurley ; husband, Russell Estill Co. Phyllis Durbin ; husband, Billy Estill Co. Sue Newton ; Ronnie Powell Estill Co. 1 Son:Gary Paul Gross Estill Co. 3 Sisters:Alberta Wirth ; husband, Gus Virginia Jessie Mae Neal Estill Co. Brenda Horn ; husband, Bobby Cincinnati, OH 2 Brothers:Dawson Lamb ; Marie Estill Co. Norman Lamb ; Marion Madison Co. 7 Grandchildren:Roger (Ellar) Burns, Andy (Penny) Newton, Shane (Melissia) Durbin, Debbie (Wayne) Callahan, Rhonda Eckler, Michelle (James) Hoover and Sherry Hoover Several Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by 1 son, Ronnie Gross, 1 grandchild, Ronnie Carlo Gross and 1 great-grandchild, Dustin Young, 5 brothers; Herman, George, Brock, James W. Jr. (Junebug), Roger and Billy Lamb and 1 sister, Marie Evans, 1 sister-in-law, Hazel Lamb, 2 brothers-in-law; Bob Kelly and Vernon (Doc) Evans. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 12, 2 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will be at the Gross Point Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Friday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
