Robert Alfred Adams, age 91, of Old Garden Court in Winchester, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023, at his home following a short illness. He was born February 21, 1931 in Bourbon County and was the son of J. E. “Doc” and Letha Doyle Adams. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from CSX Railroad. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winchester and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by:

1 daughter: Kathy Jo (Craig) Lewis - Winchester, VA
1 brother: Roy Adams - Bourbon Co.
2 grandchildren: Robert Lewis and Susan Lewis
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, J.E. Adams, Jr., Matt Adams and Archie Adams.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 1, 1 PM at the Scobee Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Toler, Rev. Wayne Everman and Rev. Vernon Adams officiating. Burial will be at the Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Scobee Funeral Home.
