Richard Barnes, age 82, of Burton Williams Road in Irvine passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014, at his home following a short illness.He was born March 18, 1932 in Estill County and was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mary Alice Hall Barnes.He was a farmer and had lived in Estill County all of his life.He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Woosley Barnes.He is survived by: 4 Daughters:Barbara Louise Stamper ; husband, Harold Irvine Virse Collins Irvine Penny Power ; husband, David Winchester Connie Coffell ; husband, Brent Irvine 7 Sons:Sandy Barnes Irvine Wallace Barnes ; wife, Rebecca Clay City Jessie Barnes ; wife, Susan Irvine David Barnes Irvine Scotty Barnes ; wife, Helen Irvine Brian Barnes ; wife, Rhonda Mt. Sterling Richard Barnes ; wife, Heather Irvine 4 Sisters:Hazel Woosley Irvine Betty Larrison Irvine Tish Brooks Irvine Alice Brooks Irvine Special niece and nephew:Gloria Rose and Willie Sparks 21 Grandchildren 14 Great-Grandchildren He was preceded in death by 1 son-in-law, Ronnie Collins, 1 grandchild, Joshua Lynn,4 sisters; Geraldine Baxter, Zella Connor, Ora Jones and Geneva Barnes and 5 brothers; Glenn, Bill, Preston, Sam and Robert Barnes. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 14, 2 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Tommy Williams.Burial will be at the Sally Poer Cemetery.Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Saturday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
