Rice Carroll, age 92, of Bingham Road in Irvine, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the St. Joseph East Hospital following a short illness. He was born September 27, 1930, in Estill County and was the eldest son of the late Ernest and Sarah Isaacs Carroll. He loved to hunt and enjoyed going on walks and spending time with his family and neighbors and his special friend, James Bingham. He was a retired employee of Isaacs Sawmill in South Irvine and had lived in Wagersville all his life and was well known and liked by everyone in the area. He is survived by:

He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Van Daly Brinegar, and 2 brothers, Bonnie and Harvey Carroll.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 10, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Burial will be at the Brinegar Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Funeral Home.
