Princess Taylor Benton, age 85, of Poplar Street in Ravenna, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Irvine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. She was born February 11, 1940, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Charlie Taylor, Sr. and Ollie Brandenburg Taylor. She retired as Head Teller with the Citizens Guaranty Bank and was a member of the South Irvine Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life and she touched the lives of everyone she met. She is survived by:
2 sons: Scott (Rhonda) Benton - Estill Co.
Jeffrey Benton - Virginia
2 brothers: Charles Taylor, Jr. - Estill Co.
Gary Allen Taylor - Clark Co.
4 grandchildren: Logan (Zack) Benton, Laura (Matthew) Snowden, Olivia Benton, and Madeline Grace Benton
1 great grandchild: Raegan Scott Snowden
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ray Benton, and 8 siblings, W.C. “Tucker” Taylor, Ella Marie Taylor, Henry Clay Taylor, Wanda “Mutton” Taylor, James C. Taylor, Dela B. Taylor, Cora Taylor, and David Wayne Taylor.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 8, 1 PM, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tony Herald officiating. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
