Obituary for Phillip S. Becknell
Phillip Stanley Becknell, age 63, of Carhartt Avenue in Irvine, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born November 5, 1948 in Owsley County and he was the son of Leola Middleton Baker and the late Quentin Becknell. He was a retired from the Kentucky State Police and had lived in Estill County most of his life. He is survived by: His wife: Elizabeth Layton Becknell Irvine His mother: Leola Middleton Baker London, KY One Son: Cole Becknell and wife, Sandra Estill County One Beloved Grandson: Chase Coleton Becknell Estill County Four Sisters: Brenda Becknell London, KY Joann Frye London, KY Carol Kriemer Cincinnati, OH Linda Williams McKee, KY One Brother: Darrell Becknell Booneville, KY In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Becknell. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Harold Becknell. Burial will be at the Griffith Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Monday until service time.
