Peggie June Abney, age 83, of Mannington Court in Richmond, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at her home. She was born January 2, 1943, in Estill County, and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mildred Smith Hensley. She was retired from Audio Visual Techniques and was a member of the Unity Baptist Church. She is survived by:

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Barbara Woosley, Nancy Williams, and 2 brothers, Steven Hensley and Larry Hensley.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 27, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. John Cravens and Bro. Tim Webb officiating. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12 to 1 PM.
