Ovalene Clay Stamper Pendergest, age 90, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, at her home.She was born January 29, 1923 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Lemon and Mary Ellen Hall Stamper.She was a former White Castle employee and had lived in Estill County most of her life.She was a member of the Nazarene Church and a former member of the Estill County Homemakers.She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Pendergest Sr..She is survived by: 7 Daughters:Sue Case Estill Frances Friend Estill Peggy PatrickEstill Carolyn Hall ; husband, Estill Stella Gray Estill Dorita MarcumEstill Bernie Abney ; husband, JunebugEstill 1 Son:Joseph Pendergest, Jr.Estill 1 Sister:Edith HallEstill 15 Grandchildren28 Great Grandchildren 2 Great Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Lodena Snowden, Jewell Johnson; 3 Brothers: Shirley Stamper, Glenn Stamper, Ray Stamper; 3 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, 4 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Donnie Watson and Bro. Jim Hall with burial to follow at the Cobhill Cemetery.Friends may call Monday from 1:30 PM until service time at the funeral home.
