Opal Christine Horn, age 89, a resident of the Woodland Nursing Home in Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, at her home following a long illness. She was born July 20, 1935, in Estill County, and was the daughter of the late Strawd Embry and Sudie Patrick Embry. She worked for Avon as an Accountant, and she was a former Worthy Matron of the Order of The Eastern Star. She had lived in Hamilton, Ohio for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Horn, and she is survived by:

Sandra Mack - Ohio
1 son: David Horn (Danielle) - Texas
7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 1 sister, Lorene Embry, 2 brothers, Donald and Cecil Embry, and 1 son-in-law, Chuck Mack.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, May 13, 2:30 PM, at the West Irvine Cemetery with Bro. Jason Barnett officiating. The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
