Obituary for Ona Mae Osborne Clair
Ona Mae Osborne Clair, age 82, of Doe Creek Road, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24th, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond following ashort illness.She was born July 14, 1933, in Estill County, a daughter of the late Linville and Mattie Ashcraft Osborne.Her father died helping a neighbor build a root cellar when she was six years old.Her mother died when Ona was twelve years old leaving her orphaned until she met the love of her life, Bryant Clair.They were married for 67 years.She was a member of the Ravenna Church of God and had lived in Estill County for the past 22 years.She touched many lives and to know her was to love her.She was always positive, upbeat, cheerful, and confident.She would be the first to tell you to stand up straight and put a smile on your face.She will be missed by all.She is survived by: Her Husband: Bryant Clair 3 Sons: Donald Clair (Sharon) Alexandria, KY Bobby Clair (Brenda) Estill Brian David Clair Erlanger, KY 10 Grandchildren Several Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by 3 Children: Sharon Kay Clair, Charlotte Ruby McKenzie, William K. 'Bill' Clair;2 Sisters: Bessie Estes, Ted Noland;6 Brothers: Hubert, Harrison, Hobert, Hiram, Harley, and Herman Osborne. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Willie Gordon with burial to follow in the Clair Cemetery in Lee County.Friends may call after 11 AM Monday until service time at the funeral home. Her philosophy:Don't profess to be someone or something that you're not. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
