Obituary for Ogal Spicer
Ogal Meek Wellman Spicer, age 98, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at Morning Pointe in Richmond.

She was born January 1, 1922 in Leighton, Estill County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Ed and Ida Mays Meek.

Mrs. Spicer was preceded in death by husbands Linville Wellman and John Spicer. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Wellman Wheeler (Erlan); grandchildren Erlan Wheeler II (Marilyn Ward) and Michelle Wheeler McCort (Mark); ten great grandchildren Erlan III, Logan, Alexandria, Victoria, Jordan and Justin Wheeler, Mackenzie, Colin, Madison and Camryn McCort; sister Thelma Meek Richardson plus a multitude of nieces and nephews.

She as preceded in death by her siblings Ruth Meeks Castle, Glyndeen Meeks Tipton and Cecil Meeks.

Mrs. Spicer was an active member of the Irvine Methodist church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years and a member of their governing board. After her retirement from Carhartt she was involved in many community activities.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, October 9, 2 PM at the West Irvine Cemetery by Bro. Aaron Batey. The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
