Obituary for Norma Jean Nunnelley
Norma Jean Nunnelley, age 77, a resident of the Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center passed away Monday, September 21, 2020, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center following a long illness. She was born January 24, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Carlos McCormick, Sr. and Virginia Brown Abney. She was a homemaker and member of the Irvine First Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Parker Nunnelley. She is survived by:
1 daughter: Mary McIntosh - Irvine
4 sons: John Nunnelley - Irvine
Mark Nunnelley - Stanton
Matthew (Geneva) Nunnelley - Irvine
Steve Nunnelley - Irvine
1 sister: Carol Barnes - Irvine
5 brothers: Tim Abney - Irvine
Ronnie Abney - Irvine
Michael Abney - Irvine
Robert Abney - Irvine
Johnny Abney - Irvine
4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by 4 siblings; Mona Watson, Carlos McCormick, Jr., Danny Abney and Jim Abney.
Friends may call Thursday, September 24, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Private funeral services will be held with burial at the Oakdale Cemetery.
