Neil Mays, age 73, of Wisemantown Road in Irvine, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Bluegrass Hospice Care at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was born January 1, 1951, in Madison County, and was the son of the late Troy and Agnes Johnson Mays. He was a Coal Miner, a Logger, and also worked in the Oil Fields. He was a member of the Rice Station Christian Church, and he had lived in Estill County since 1995. He is survived by:

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mitsy Clevenger and Marsha Coleman.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, April 25, 7 PM, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6 to 7 PM.
