In Loving Memory of Nancy McMaine (1946-2024)

Nancy Lee Fox McMaine, affectionately known as "Mammi" by her family and community, passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on February 10, 2024. She was a beloved figure, cherished by friends and family alike.

Nancy, a proud veteran who served in the Army Reserve, was not only a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother but also a successful small business owner. Her passion for creativity led her to establish "Nancy’s House of Ceramics," a testament to her artistic spirit and entrepreneurial drive.

As a pillar of the community, Nancy actively participated in the Estill County Homemakers and found solace in her faith as a member of the Ravenna Nazarene Church. Her generous spirit and love for storytelling brought laughter to countless gatherings, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald McMaine; her parents, Candy Fox and Frances Horn Fox; and her siblings: Wayne Fox, Douglas Fox, Alene Schmieg, Sue Sherrill, Michael Fox, Calvin Fox and Faye Bingham.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Stanley Fox of Irvine; her four children: Candie McMaine of Irvine, Rhonda Simpson of Oviedo Florida, Curt McMaine (Rhonda)Irvine, and Suzi Freeman (Jeff Hall)Irvine, her ten grandchildren: Ashley Isaacs (Donnie), Jacqueline Ray (Desmond), Alesia Webb, Andrew Hatton, Sarah Cockrell (Jonathan), Jacob Simpson, Mallory McMaine, Ryan McMaine, Sondra Watson (Justin), and April Tegtmeier (Kevin); ten great-grandchildren and a host of friends, nieces and nephews.

Her legacy of love, resilience, and community involvement will continue to inspire all who were touched by her warmth. May she find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and strength for her grieving loved ones.

She will be laid to rest at Richardson cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
