Myrtle Anglin Jenkins, age 84, of Raintree Court in Irvine, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 18, 2025. She was born April 12, 1941, in Jackson County and was the daughter of the late Willie Anglin and Nancy Jane Powell Anglin. She retired from Carhartt and she was a member of the Knob Lick Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James B. Jenkins, and she is survived by:
1 daughter: Lisa (Eddie) Alcorn - Irvine
2 sons: Dan (Debbie) Jenkins - Ohio
Darren (Anita) Jenkins - Irvine
6 grandchildren: Jackie Horn Jr., Christina Spicer, Dylan Alcorn, Justin Farthing, Matthew Farthing, and Shannon Jenkins
9 great grandchildren: Isaiah Spicer, Jonah Spicer, Tyler Farthing, Holly Farthing, Mason Farthing, Nicholas Farthing, Raylee Farthing, Levi Rifenbark, and Cora Rifenbark, due in February
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 6 sisters, Ruby Willis, Bertha Willis, Mayfra Conrad, Martha Pearson, Nannie McKinney, and Laura McKinney, and 2 brothers, Raymond Anglin and Hubert Anglin
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 22, 1 PM, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Sam Miller officiating. Burial will be at the Joe Miller Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
