Mildred Marie Lamb, a beacon of love and grace, returned to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
Born on October 1, 1942, in Estill County, she was the daughter of Virgil and Hallie Miller Hoover. Marie was a wonderful wife, a caring mother and a precious mamaw. But most importantly, she was a cherished child of the King.
Marie was a homemaker and a member of South Irvine Baptist Church, which she loved dearly. She had the sweetest soul and a smile that lit up hearts.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Dawson Lamb.

And many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in her death by her brother, Fred Morris Hoover.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 30, 1 PM at the South Irvine Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie Burford officiating. Burial will be at the South Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Church. The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
