Melvin Mansfield, age 88, a resident of Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Center following a long illness. He was born February 27, 1935, and was the son of the late Francis Millard Mansfield and Myrtle Modell Short Mansfield. He was a general laborer and a member of the Corinth Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Mildred Wood, Alsie Merritt, Mae Richardson, and Pearl Freeman, and 6 brothers, Ronald Clay, Gene, Junior, Clyde, Earl, and Roy Mansfield.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 13, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Johnny Richardson Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
