Mary Katherine Owen, age 97, of Cantrill Street in Irvine, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Marcum and Wallace Hospital following a short illness. She was born October 23, 1926, in Estill County, and was the daughter of the late Morris and Mattie Dozier Wilson. She retired from Phillips where she worked in Quality Control, and she was a member of the Irvine First Church of the Nazarene. She had lived in Estill County all her life. She is survived by:

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Owen, her sister, Mildred Venable, 3 brothers, J.C., Bob, and June Wilson, 1 daughter-in-law, Lynn Richardson Owen, and 1 sister-in-law, Lena Wilson
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 24, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
