Mary D. Smith, 94, widow of Farris D. Smith went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 21, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Robert “Bob” A. Fox and Sally (Isaacs) Fox.
Other than her husband, and parents, Mary was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dora Johnson and Sara Jane Rose: three brothers, Albert Fox, Olson Fox and Tommy Fox. Along with seven children, Cecil, Cleburn, Bruce, Glen, Bernice, Porcha & Dianna; four grandchildren and one great grandson.
Survivors include one son, Anthony (Karen) Smith and three daughters, Mildred (Bill) Richardson, Bonnie Wilson and Jewell (Lowell) Isaacs. Mary was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Mary was a member of the Drip Rock Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Drip Rock Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Williams and Bro. Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Sparkman Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jason Richardson, Owen Isaacs, Anthony Smith, Erin Wilson, Josh Wilson, Donnie Smith and Daniel Smith. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
