Obituary for Marie Murphy Dixon
Marie Murphy Dixon, age 94, of Red Lick Road in Irvine, KY, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at her home following a short illness. She was born September 24, 1926, in Estill County, the daughter of the late Hubert and Myrtle Bishop Murphy. She worked for Carhartt for 50 years before she retired. She was a member of the Rice Station Christian Church and had lived in Estill County all her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Dixon. She is survived by:

2 Daughters: Pamela Dixon Whitesides (Richard) Madison Co.
Sheila Dixon Estill Co.

A Son: Jerry Dixon (Sheri) Estill Co.

2 Sisters: Laura Stone Madison Co.
Patricia Edmonson Estill Co.

2 Brothers: Scotty Murphy Estill Co.
Kenneth Murphy Estill Co.

9 Grandchildren 13 Great Grandchildren
2 Great-Great Grandchildren

In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by 3 sisters: Earsle Kerby, Jewel Dean Mansfield, Mary Noremeyer, and 2 brothers: Earl Murphy, Cecil Justin Murphy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 PM on Saturday, June 19th, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Joe Hall with burial to follow in the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held between 6 and 9 PM on Friday.
