Obituary for Marie Huff Baker
Marie Huff Baker, age 93, of Clearview Drive in Irvine, KY passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at Marcum ; Wallace Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born March 3, 1920 in Leslie County, KY and was a daughter of the late Sherman and Lucy Jane Campbell Huff. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County for the last twenty five years. Mrs. Baker was a member of Blue Diamond Church of God, Kentucky Friends of the Bluegrass, and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruie Baker. She is survived by: One Daughter: Diana Hamblin, Wisconsin Two Sons: Darrell Baker, Estill County Dale Baker, Estill County Seven grandchildren: Brenda Smith, Lynn Shephard, Edwina Epley, Darrell Dwaine Hamblin, Kristin Ballard, Darren James Baker, and Raelyn Emmert. 9 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by one daughter, Dixie Campbell, and ten brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Monday, April 1, 2013 at Friendship Baptist Church by Bro. Scott Rogers and Bro. Jim Sluss. Burial will follow in Hickory Gap Cemetery in Perry County. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Friendship Baptist Church.
