Obituary for Marie Hobbs Smith
Marie Hobbs Smith, age 85, of Ticky Fork Drive in Ravenna, passed away Friday, February 24th, at the University of Kentucky Hospital, following a short illness. She was born May 31, 1931, in Estill County, the daughter of the late Sherman and Carrie Miller Dixon. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County all of her life. She attended the Rice Station Christian Church and the Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by 2 Husbands: Bill Smith and Herbert Hobbs. She is survived by: 4 Daughters: Anita Marcum Estill Co. Mildred Moore Madison Co. Janice Flynn Estill Co. Cheryl Embs Estill Co. 2 Sons: James Hobbs Estill Co. Ricky Hobbs Estill Co. A Brother: Odell Dixon Madison Co. 12 Grandchildren 19 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by a Son: Doug Hobbs; and 2 Grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Kirk Scott with burial to follow in the Marcum Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 AM Tuesday until service time.
