Margaret Sue Arvin, age 83, of Kentucky Avenue in Irvine, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital. She was born March 19, 1941, in Irvine and was the daughter of the late Carlie Durbin and Nancy L. Canter Durbin Johnson. She was a retired hairdresser and attended the River Drive Christian Church. She was a member of the Irvine/Ravenna Kiwanis Club and had lived in Estill County most of her life. She is survived by:
1 daughter: Dena G. Milton - Winchester
1 son: Terry W. (Sharon) Arvin - Dandridge, TN
1 brother: Charles W. Durbin - Irvine
3 grandchildren: Megan E. Arvin, Caleb S. Arvin, and Julia Milton
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Delano Arvin, 2 sisters, Carlene Durbin Wiseman, Imogene Durbin, and 1 brother, Malcolm Durbin.
The family wants to express special thanks to her niece, Margaret Woods, and nephew, Billy Bruce Wiseman, for their love and care, especially over the last weeks of her life. Also, to recognize a special neighbor, Jeff Puckett, who was always there to help her.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 16, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Bruce Wiseman officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Irvine/Ravenna Kiwanis Club.
