Manford Newton, age 67, of St. Timothy’s Road in Irvine, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was born February 5, 1958, in Estill County and was the son of the late Dillard and Daisy Canter Newton. He was a logger and attended the St. Timothy Church. He had lived in Estill County all his life. He is survived by:
2 sisters: Annie Berryman - Estill Co.
Rosetta Newton - Jefferson Co.
1 brother: Boyd Sparks - Estill Co.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Jewell Young, Christine Ashcraft, and 7 brothers, Shelby, George, Odell, Edward, Junior, Jimmy, and Farrell Dean Newton.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 17, 1 PM at the St. Timothy Church with Rev. Bryant Kibler officiating. Burial will be at the Cane Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Church.
