Lula Morris, age 86, a resident of the Irvine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the Center following a long illness. She was born January 10, 1937, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Willie and Florence Edmonson Kirby. She was a homemaker and attended the Holiness Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life. She is survived by:
1 daughter: Sheila (Randy) Coffey - Estill Co.
1 son: Gregory Morris - Estill Co.
1 brother: Albert Kirby - Estill Co.
6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Morris, her daughter, Connie Morris, 3 sisters, Rachel Woolery, Freda Johnson, Beulah Crowe, and 1 brother, Simp Kirby.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 26, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Hager officiating. Burial will be at the Kirby Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
