Lue Ellis Burton Patrick, age 72, wife of Tracy Randall Patrick, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at her sister’s home in Clark County, following a five-year battle with cancers.
She was a native of Estill County, born April 5, 1953, to James and Ima Jene Estepp Burton.
Lue Ellis is a member of Ivory Hill Baptist Church. She also was active in and a very proud member of the Estill County Arts Council. Lue Ellis was a quilter and traveled extensively to various national quilting shows.
A 1971 graduate of Estill County High School, she attended several years at Bell and Howell Schools in Columbus, Ohio, where she studies electronics, computers, and data processing. She retired from PNC Bank after working for several years in various data processing jobs.
Lue Ellis is survived by her husband, Tracy Randall Patrick; four children, Joey Purcell (Crystal),Teffany Belcher (Woodrow), Phillip Lee Purcell (Liz), and Jennifer Hall (Issac); nine grandchildren, Luke, Ashton, Alanna, Jaime, Ayden, Alyssa, Angel, Matthew, and James; two brothers, Mike Burton (Tina) and Jim Burton (Charlotte); and one sister, her caretaker, Myra Lynn Branham (Tommy)
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 31, 1 PM, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Stone officiating. Burial will be at the Burton Cemetery in Cressy. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
