Lonnie Dean Gross, age 72, of Reges Road in Irvine, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Hospital following a long illness. He was born June 19, 1953, in Northville, Michigan, and was the son of the late Leonard Gross and Gladys Johnson Gross. He retired from IMU, and he was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. He had lived in Estill County for most of his life. He is survived by:

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 18, 11 AM, at the Friendship Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Rogers officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6 to 9 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home and on Monday from 10 to 11 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church.
