Lester Ray Canter, age 57, of Highway 52 in Irvine, passed away Friday at his home following a sudden illness.He was born May 6, 1956, in Estill County, the son of Cecil Simp Canter and the late Edith Lucille Gentry Canter.He was a retired rock miner with Vulcan Material and had lived in Lee County most of his life.He was a member of the Sandfield Pentecostal Holiness Church.Survivors in addition to his father include: His wife:Marilyn Joyce Flinchum Canter 1 Daughter:Melissa Maria Tipton and husband Anthony James 2 Sons:Samuel Ray CanterLee Co. Eric Wayne CanterRichmond 2 Brothers:Donnie Lee CanterVersailles Harold Dean Canter Versailles 4 Grandchildren:Courtney Nicole FarthingGabrielle Erin Farthing Desiree Danielle Tipton Anthony Austin Kyle Tipton He was preceded in death by a Son:David Lloyd Canter Funeral services will be conducted Monday 1 PM at the Cobb Hill Cemetery.
